A few facts about the home:

- It's currently home to 337 children under the age of 5. 25 of whom are HIV positive.
- 15 abandoned babies arrive at the home every month.
- Eventually 60% of the kids will be adopted.
- It's a 2 year process to adopt a baby from the home.
- France is currently the most popular destination for adopted kids.
- However, over the life of the home, the US is where most babies have made a new life.
- It's common for adopted kids to come back and visit the home when they are older.
- In 2012 the home won a distinguished service award from the Thai Government.
- The home has recently been short listed for a UN Public Service Award.
- The Thai Government provides funding for the facility that covers basic needs. Private donations allow the staff to provide additional services to the kids. Donations such as ours go to fund: day trips to the beach; visits to the local park; ice cream parties; additional clothing and items such as specialized tables and toys.
This is a really well run facility and we are pleased to be able to support the work of asst. Director Apichet, his staff and all the volunteers. If you are in Bangkok it's well worth a visit.
