STUDENT SPOTLIGHT
2008
GHF currently provides over 280 scholarships for economically
disadvantaged, bright students in 8 schools throughout
Thailand. We also currently support 13 University Students
with financial scholarships.
Many of our students are extremely poor and work hard
to overcome tough conditions to succeed in school and
in life. The following is an example of one of our remarkable
students succeeding against all odds with the help of
GHF and our donors.

MAJOR FUNDRAISERS
IN THAILAND
This August The Gallipeau Harris Foundation held three
successful fundraising events in Thailand.
The initial event took place in Bangkok, as GHF held its first annual fundraising
dinner and auction at Venezia Italian Restaurant. Over 30 people participated
in a fun filled evening and enjoyed the fine dining experience of Owner Vito,
Manager Edwin Roberts and hostesses from the Fashion Sense Modeling Agency.
The evening was a great success, with over 40,000THB (about $1200.00) raised
for GHF.

THE GALLIPEAU HARRIS FOUNDATION
FOUNDATION CREATION
Lou Gallipeau and Andy Harris first met on a golf trip to Thailand in November 2002. Their shared experiences on that trip led them to decide to do something to help the poor and disadvantaged Thai youth. The outcome is the Gallipeau Harris Foundation, founded in February, 2003 and incorporated as a nonprofit organization in the Commonwealth of Virginia (US) in August of the same year. The Foundation was classified as a 501(c) (3) tax exempt organization by the IRS in January 2004.
MISSION AND VISION
The purpose of the Foundation is to provide educational opportunities and resources for poor, underprivileged children in Thailand. The Foundation strives to be a recognized leader in empowering and helping the youth of Thailand achieve their dreams through education and learning.
